Creating and deleting projects

Our projects act like projects, which group your tests together. This page explains how to create and manage projects using the SMSByrd Dashboard and the API.

What is a project?​

Projects allow you to group tests, permissions, and other settings together. You could use a project for a particular project, product, environment, or another purpose.

How do I create a new project?​

To create a project, you must be an Administrator or Account Owner on the account in question. This access can be granted by another Administrator on your account if you do not already have this.

You can create a new project using the SMSByrd Dashboard, or the API.

  1. Go to the Projects page in the SMSByrd Dashboard.
  2. Click Create Project.
  3. In the page that appears, enter a project name.
  4. When you are finished, click Create.

Project limits​

You can only create as many projects as your plan supports.

How do I delete a project?​

You can delete projects using the SMSByrd Dashboard or the API.

A deleted project is a permanently lost, and immediately unavailable for use. Be sure that the project is not used anywhere in your team before performing this operation.

  1. Go to the Projects page in the SMSByrd Dashboard.
  2. Click on the name of the project you want to delete.
  3. Click on the Settings tab.
  4. In the page that appears, click on Delete project at the bottom of the page.
  5. Once you confirm you want to continue, your project is deleted.
